it means when i was a little kid in pee wee little league i was in the all star game

this is the clearest memory i have of little league, btw

i was playing shortstop, only place i ever wanna play

and in the all star game im crouched over ready for the pitch to be thrown

and i think to myself, nine years old

god i wish there was one of me at all of these positions.

slider inside jams the dude but he muscles it into the hole between 2nd and 3rd

i run deep into the hole

back hand it

jump and throw in one step

hat flies off

ball archs across the infield

and beats the runner by a half step.

that is what i mean by i want

and then i want to tell the outfielders one out one out
