Prince opening night at the Forum = 3.5 hours, 40 songs

    with lots of people gone

Prince kicked off his 21-night stand in LA with a marathon concert of 40 songs that stretched from Thursday into Friday morning.

It went so long that most of the crowd left after the first encore because LA likes to show up late and leave early even when a 52-year-old man is showing them all how its done.

Six encores later we were spent and joyous.

Here is the set list compiled by LAT Music Editor Randall Roberts who is currently writing our official review.
