nothing in here is true

they arrested twice as many people in Isla Vista on Halloween

we did itas they did around wrigley field the night the cubs won the world series.

in IV there were 500+ people walking around the streets.

in Wrigleyville there were “hundreds of thousands” according to the police.

twice as many arrests in iv.

why do i still care about a town that just lays there and takes it.

how do you let your brothers and sisters get popped for having a stereo turned on past 10pm on a Monday? how do you let 108 cops come into your town to sniff under every nook and cranny to cite you or jail you simply because it’s the last day of October?

i want to think it’s because young people do not know that they have power.

but im starting to think it’s because this generation never really played outside before.

when i was a kid, in this neighborhood that i blog from tonight, i rode my bike everywhere day or night. we played all over, sometimes after the lights went out.

so of course in college we roamed the streets all night and everywhere, exploring, learning, stumbling, and boning.

maybe this gen grew up inside so is comfortable inside in college.

maybe theyd rather watch videos of people talking about roaming the streets of DP

    than actually doing it.

what the fuck have we created?

this is the email some kid wrote that shut down ALL the schools in LA yesterday

    hamilton high

I am emailing you to inform you of the happenings on Tuesday, 12/15/15.

Something big is going down. Something very big. It will make national headlines. Perhaps, even international ones. You see, my last 4 years here at one of the district high schools has been absolute hell. Pure, unmitigated, agony. The bullying, the loneliness, the rejection… it is never-ending. And for what? Just because I’m ‘different’?

No. No more. I am a devout Muslim, and was once against violence, but I have teamed up with a local jihadist cell as it is the only way I’ll be able to accomplish my massacre the correct way. I would not be able to do it alone. Me, and my 32 comrades, will die tomorrow in the name of Allah. Every school in the L.A. Unified district is being targeted. We have bombs hidden in lockers already at several schools. They are strategically placed and are meant to crumble the foundations of the very buildings that monger so much hate and discrimination. They are pressure cooker bombs, hidden in backpacks around the schools. They are loaded with 20 lbs. of gunpowder, for maximum damage. They will be detonated via Cell Phone. Not only are there bombs, but there are nerve gas agents set to go off at a specific time: during lunch hour. To top it off, my brothers in Allah and I have Kalashnikov rifles, Glock 18 Machine pistols, and multiple handheld grenades. The students at every school in the L.A. Unified district will be massacred, mercilessly. And there is nothing you can do to stop it.

If you do end up trying to, by perhaps, beefing up security, or canceling classes for the day, it won’t matter. Your security will not be able to stop us. We are an army of Allah. If you cancel classes, the bombings will take place regardless, and we will bring our guns to the streets and offices of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Bakersfield, and San Diego.

I wish you the best luck. It is time to pray to allah, as this may be your last day.

according to the LA Times the email is believed to have been a hoax (the hate against Bakersfield wasn’t a tip off? also, where do high school kids get working Russian rifles?).

they say kids today have everything, i say they have nothing

vhsfirst boob i touched was pretty much the first boob i ever saw.

sure i saw madonna’s in playboy, and maybe a few other in that mag, but that was basically it.

then all of a sudden in the back seat of my grandmas car, my gorgeous 16 year old girlfriend lifted her sweater

    and my life changed.

kids today have pron on their damn phones for pete sake. and what they show on tv, regular tv, would have launched a thousand ships way back in my day.

ariana, taylor, nicki, charlie xcx – they make xtina and britney blush.

kids dont go to the record stores any more. they dont get in fights at the blockbuster.

it’s all delivered to them through their video game machines. like they earned it!

the reason theyve turned their backs on network tv is they dont realize what a lifeblood that was to humans over the last 65 years.

how important channels 2, 5, and 7 were.

now its all about the youtube. instant access. immediate satisfaction. spontaneous disruption.

but the biggest problem is theyre not bored any more. how could they be? they have everything (and nothing).

back when i was at my grandmas house and i was bored i had to shoot pool in her garage or learn to putt or turn the entire downstairs into a pitch n putt golf course.

kids today just stick their phones down their pants and snapchat a picture to a cheerleader and it’s game on.

    and those are the girls!

when youre bored you learn how to play the piano, or the guitar, or edit video, or write a poem.

when youre not bored you just do whatever the screen tells you.

this is why there are no teenage guitar gods any more.

this is why children by the millions dance to shallow robot sounds.

this is why cuba is opening their doors.

because they know no one will notice or care.

cuba is saying heres our boobies, have at it.

but theyre not doing it on youtube so they may as well be shouting it to the wind.
